What is Nature Club, and how does it work?
Nature Club is a monthly subscription box designed to make nature play easy, fun, and accessible for families. Each box is packed with seasonal, hands-on activities that encourage kids to explore, create, and learn using natural materials. We provide everything you need—so you can skip the planning and get straight to the fun!
Do I need to be a ‘crafty’ or ‘outdoorsy’ parent to enjoy this?
Not at all! Nature Club is designed for real, busy families—no special skills or crafting expertise required. We provide easy-to-follow activities that are fun, low-prep, and instructions and tutorials to help guide you. Whether you’re a nature pro or just looking for simple ways to get outside more, we make it easy for you to connect with your child through play.
How is this different from other activity subscription boxes?
Unlike other craft or STEM boxes, Nature Club is all about getting kids outdoors and using natural materials to spark creativity. Instead of just sending art supplies, we encourage kids to collect, observe, and interact with nature—turning the world around them into a playground of learning and exploration.
What age group is Nature Club best suited for?
Our boxes are designed for kids aged 3-10, with activities that can be easily adapted for different skill levels. Younger children will love the sensory experiences, while older kids can dive deeper into crafting, building, and learning about nature.
We recommend adult supervision when opening the box as there are small, loose parts and some items may be sharp or made from glass.
How much supervision do activities require?
The activity cards included in your box will provide the information and instructions to complete each activity. We are also building a bank of online tutorials to guide you through the key activities. We recommend adult supervision when opening the box, as they contain small parts and craft items that may be harmful if ingested. Our boxes are not recommended for children under three. For some activities, children will be able to be set up to play. We recommend adult supervision for foraging and exploring - we love the idea that these boxes and activities can be enjoyed by adults and older children too!
When Is My Next Payment?
When you subscribe, you will be charged for the current box, then your next payment will be processed on the same date each consecutive month.
Can I Change My Payment Date?
If you would like to request a different payment date, please email us at hello@natureclub.co.nz and we’ll do our best to accommodate a date that works for you.
How Do I Send To 2 Separate Addresses?
If you’d like to purchase more than one subscription and have these sent to separate addresses, you can do this by purchasing this under two separate transactions. For each purchase, include your ideal shipping address. If you are purchasing a subscription for a gift, let us know and we can include a hand-written gift note for you.
When Does My Box Arrive
Each monthly box is shipped in the third week of the month. If after this date, you will receive next month’s box and you will be notified when this will be heading your way! All single activities and Build Your Own Boxes will be sent within 3 working days. You will be notified when your order has been shipped. If you do not hear from us or receive your order in 10 days, please send us an email at hello@natureclub.co.nz so we can investigate.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and your circumstances may change. Our aim is to offer flexibility while ensuring the best experience for you and your little adventurers.

Three-Month Skip Service:
If you’re facing a temporary challenge, you can pause your subscription for up to three months. This allows you to maintain your discounted rate while taking a break when needed.
Case-by-Case Solutions:
If skipping isn’t the right fit or if you need further assistance, we encourage you to reach out to us directly. We’re happy to work with you to find a solution that suits your situation, whether that’s adjusting your plan or exploring other options.
Our goal is to make sure your experience with Nature Club is positive and stress-free. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re having difficulty maintaining your commitment, we’re here to help and find what works best for you.
Do I Need To Supply Anything?
All essential resources will be provided in the box, with the exception of natural elements you may want to collect to enhance the experience. This is part of the magic of the Nature Club and may include items like sticks, leaves, flowers, or dirt. For specific nature-based materials—such as smooth rocks for painting or dried flowers for paper-making—we’ll include them in the box, so you won’t need to worry about sourcing them. While we provide all the necessary craft supplies, we do assume that most households have access to common tools like scissors, a hammer, safety goggles, a freezer, and a blender (for the paper-making activity), which are not included in the box.
Can I try a box before committing to a subscription?
Yes! You can purchase a one-off box by selecting "One-time purchase" on the Monthly Subscription Box page. If you'd like to shop our one-off activity packs and activities, you can do this on the Build Your Own Box page.
